The workshop in detail

  • 2h
  • 15 years min.
  • Up to 20 people
  • Boost your team's collaboration and creativity with this hands-on marbled textile workshop led by textile designer Giny.Ā

The workshop will introduce the process of applying colour to an emulsion bath using pipettes, a method that encourages precision and coordination. Team members will experiment with basic colours to create their own palettes, then use tools such as combs and pens to shape their designs.Ā

Initial designs are transferred to paper for practice, building confidence and refining techniques. Your team will then work with natural, eco-certified fabrics and print their designs to create personalised and sustainable textiles.Ā

At the end of the session, participants will wash and dry their textiles - a symbol of their teamwork!

    Wecandoo - Meet Giny

    Meet Giny

    Textile designer

Meet Giny, a passionate artisan with a heart for crafting and a commitment to sustainability.

Initially trained in handicrafts as a teacher, she found limited opportunities upon graduating. Undeterred, she pursued a career as a caregiver while nurturing her creative spirit through her personal studio.

Over the past decade, Giny's studio became a place where her creativity flourished. As she honed her skills, she witnessed a steady growth in her craft. In 2019, Giny made the bold decision to leave her caregiving career behind and devote herself entirely to her studio.

Central to Giny's artistic ethos is her commitment to sustainability. She's dedicated to breathing new life into existing materials, embracing a waste-free and transparent approach to her work. From repurposing boat canvas to salvaging sample fabrics from interior shops to create toiletry bags, Giny transforms overlooked materials into timeless pieces of art.
