The workshop in detail
Welcome to Christof's lovely workshop for an immersion into the world of woodcarving!
After a short presentation of the artisan's workshop, he will take the time to give you a theoretical overview of the wood varieties, the techniques used and the sculptor's tools he uses on a daily basis, such as knives, gouges and wood chisels.
Armed with your new knowledge, you will choose the design of your cutlery and draw their structure on the wood.
Then, chip by chip, you will learn how to give shape to your creation thanks to the good advice of Christof.
After a few finishing touches, you will leave with your new design aperitif board, easy to use in everyday life!

Meet Christof
Sculptor Wood and Stone
Christof is an artisan and artist with a passion for sculpture.
He trained for 4 years in drawing, painting and graphic design at a German "Hochschule". He then worked with young people in schools to help them discover their creativity and create artisanal and artistic works.
At the same time, he joined various academies near Antwerp and continued to practice his art in realistic drawing, body drawing, lithography and linocut.
After years of drawing, he returned to one of his formative passions: sculpture. Today, wood and stone are transformed under his hands!
He welcomes you with enthusiasm in his pretty wooden cabin to transmit his passion!

Dankuwel voor deze leerrijke workshop. Heel erg interessant om verschillende houtsoorten te leren en één daarvan te kiezen voor het maken van de schaal. Heel aangenaam en veel bijgeleerd. Danku

Quelle expérience géniale! Christof est un grand passionné d'art, de sculpture et de musique, et il aime partager sa passion avec les autres. Il est également très attentionné! Nous sommes venus à 4 et nous avons réalisé des créations originales. L'atelier se déroule sans stress, dans la bonne humeur, il y a assez de temps pour réaliser son projet (l'atelier a duré un peu plus longtemps que prévu pour nous, donc prévoyez d'avoir le temps). Je conseille de venir avec une idée ou des inspirations (planche/bol/art mural, couleur/type de bois), car cela facilite le début de l'atelier. Je recommande, merci, Christof!

Heel leuke workshop, Christof is een ongelooflijke, down-to-earth man, met een grote passie voor hout. Je voelt je direct welkom in zijn klein, schattig atelier dat propvol staat, maar ooh zo gezellig. Hij maakt het je gemakkelijk, is behulpzaam en deelt graag zijn passie .... dikke pluim voor deze man, heb er een prachtige schotel en een mooie ervaring aan overgehouden.... Ik raad deze workshop zeker aan voor ieder die ook zoals ik, gek is op de geur en het aanvoelen van hout, Christof is hiervoor de perfecte begeleider 👌

Un grand merci à Christof pour cet atelier ! Nous n'avions tous les deux jamais travaillé le bois et on n'a pas vu le temps passer tellement nous étions intéressés et investis sur nos ouvrages. Christof est un véritable passionné et très attentif à ses élèves qu'il conseille en permanence et accompagne jusqu'au bout. Chapeau pour son français qui est top malgré des termes très techniques !
