Learn about nature weaving and make a nature wall hanging with Siobhan

Join Shiv in her studio for a weaving workshop where you will create a beautiful wall hanging inspired by nature. 

Your workshop will begin with an introduction to Shiv and her vibrant, colourful studio filled with tools, yarns and textiles. 

To add a personal touch to your wall hanging, you are invited to bring natural materials from your garden such as plants, twigs and leaves.

Working on a large frame loom, Shiv will guide you through each stage of the weaving process. She'll discuss the importance of sustainability in weaving and demonstrate how to integrate your natural materials with the selection of yarns provided. Her clear, step-by-step instructions will make the process accessible and enjoyable, whether you're a beginner or have some weaving experience.

Throughout the workshop you'll have the opportunity to choose from a variety of natural materials and learn how to weave them into your design. Shiv will show you how to create intricate patterns and textures to add depth and character to your wall hanging.

As you near completion of your piece, Shiv will guide you through the final steps of taking your wall hanging off the loom, ensuring you have a finished product to be proud of. You'll leave the workshop not only with a stunning natural wall hanging, but also with new skills and a deeper appreciation of sustainable craft!

Note: There will be a lunch break where you can enjoy your own packed lunch or visit nearby shops and cafes. This break is an opportunity to relax and socialise with other participants, sharing inspiration and ideas.
