Discover the timeless beauty of porcelain paper and experience a unique skill!Ā
Emilie will welcome you into her subtle and delicate universe during a 2.5-hour workshop where she will share her expertise in porcelain paper modeling. In an authentic setting, you will make three porcelain pieces of your choice (such as a tray, bowl, or candle holder).
After an introduction to the basics of ceramics and shaping, you will learn the technique of porcelain paper, a poetic material that resonates with finesse and transparency. You will shape your three unique pieces and explore the potential of porcelain's transparency to the fullest with the pinching technique.
At the end of the workshop, Emilie will take care of firing and glazing (with transparent glaze) your three handmade creations after drying. You can then arrange for the collection of your finished pieces with the artist.
Choosing this workshop means choosing the unique and original for your home!

Enchanted by the magic of clay and the transformative power of porcelain, Ćmilie explores the infinite world of ceramics.
She started with an internship at the Louvre School, then took courses in a small Parisian studio for two years. In 2006, she went to Belgium to study sculpture in an Academy. Five years later, this passionate artist began working with porcelain in a private studio in Brussels and kept on taking courses there for four years.
Her journey allows her to explore the world of ceramics with passion, and in 2017, she created her own workshop in the Brussels region and enrolled in the Beeldende Kunsten Academy in Anderlecht.
Driven by the pleasure of sharing her knowledge and creativity, she opens her workshop to the public and also teaches at the Paloke workshop in Molenbeek.
Porcelain and dance (her second passion) come together to offer her a means of expression and poetry that fills her. White, transparent, or tinted with oxide or enamel, the clay offers her the opportunity to create objects inhabited by movement and poetry.
Through her creations, Ćmilie seeks to capture the moment and movement by blending the joy of life, pleasure of the present, and everyday beauty.
We had a very relaxing, creative afternoon! Thank you for your patience and lots of ideas, tricks you shared so that we could all make something we liked! It's a nice activity with family and friends, evrybody can choose their own way of working, the workshop is really flexible :)
