Enter the wonderful world of ceramics with Anna and discover the technique of pinching asyou make your own pair of porcelain cups.Ā
You will first get acquainted with the clay, stoneware, and will move on to learning the pinch technique.Ā
This technique consists of shaping a ball of clay by creating a small nest with the thumb, like you're
digging a hole. The clay should then be pinched to deepen it and form the sides of the cups by
constantly turning the ball of clay in your hands. This will shape your pair of cups.Ā
You will make two small porcelain spoons to go with your creations.
Once your pair of cups and spoons are made, Anna will fire and glaze them. You
can then return to the workshop to pick up your creations a few weeks later, when the firing
is finished.Ā
This workshop is available in several languages simultaneously. The craftsman will change the language of
the workshop based on the participants present.

Pour participer Ć cet atelier, prĆ©voyez de porter une tenue confortable adaptĆ©e Ć lāatelier et au nettoyage en fin dāatelier, type legging ou pantalon. Il est Ć©galement prĆ©fĆ©rable dāavoir les ongles courts et les cheveux attachĆ©s. Enfin, si vous le pouvez, pensez Ć apporter votre propre tablier.

Meet Anna
Ceramist
Anna is originally from the West of France and studied art at Estienne, Paris, where she specialised in typography. She then chose to perfect her motion design skills at the Gobelins, l'Ć©cole de l'image.Ā
She then moved to Brussels where she lived for 8 years, working in graphic design, brand concepts, visual identity and logotype creation, as a freelance designer.Ā
After a few years, she decided to fly to North America for a road trip across the country ending at Vancouver. But it was in Toronto that she began working as a graphic designer for a year. There, she discovered ceramics, and it turned from a hobby into a real passion!Ā
She then took several courses in Toronto and Montreal with experienced ceramists and then decided to return to Brussels, her adoptive city. Anna took things further and enrolled at the Academy of Arts in Brussels to hone her skills.Ā
She now wants to teach others about what she experienced in Canada, about discovering clay as a material, the experience of calmness and feeling at peace with yourself as you work, the kind of creativity that you can develop, a passion that you can pass on to others.Ā
She can't wait to welcome you to her pleasant, cosy workshop to teach you how to model stoneware and porcelain. Meet her!

Nous avons vraiment bien aimĆ© l'atelier de Anna! L'atmosphĆØre Ć©tait relax et trĆØs bienveillante et nous avons beaucoup appris. Anna a expliquĆ© un peu de thĆ©orie nĆ©cessaire mais on a aussi eu plein de temps pour notre propre dĆ©couverte et crĆ©ativitĆ©. Je recommande chaleureusement et je vais revenir ! š
