The workshop in detail

  • 15 years min.
  • 1 to 3 participants
  • Up to 3 people for a privatization
  • During this 2 hour workshop, Francesco will introduce you to the basics of leather work.Ā 

    First of all, you will be able to choose your leather among a large choice of samples.Ā 

    Then you will learn to cut the leather following a pattern. The leather worker will be there all along to guide you through the steps.Ā 

    After everything being cut, you will learn to assemble the pieces of your creation using the sewing machine.Ā 

    Moreover, you will sew a zipper and add the finishing touches.Ā 

    You will leave this workshop with new knowledge about leather work and your two leather accessories : a pencil case and a wallet or little pocket.Ā

    The workshop is easily accessible by public transport.

    This place is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.

    Meet Francesco

    Leather Worker

    Francesco is a leather worker from Milan who is based in the beautiful city of Brussels.Ā 

    He discovered leather goods 26 years ago and learned from a renowned leather worker. For years, he worked hand in hand with him and produced leather goods for many luxury houses.

    He improved his skills in the design of bags and accessories and launched his brand. A few years ago, you could have discovered his shared workshop store in one of the most beautiful streets of Milan!

    Francesco also likes to share his know-how, first in Milan in the IED Moda Lab and now in the College of Art and Design in Brussels.

    Now living in Brussels, he welcomes you in his small and intimate workshop!Ā

    Un beau moment de bonheur paisible . Avec l'aide de Francesco, d'un ange gardien trĆØs bienveillant, ce fut un bonheur de fabriquer ces jolis objets trĆØs personnels, en ayant un aperƧu de plusieurs techniques pour embellir les crĆ©ations en cuir. Anne

    Thank you Francesco, I really appreciated this workshop, it was nice to meet you. I was able to propose my own project and Francesco showed me different techniques. I recommend this workshop for anyone who want to discover the leather technique.
