During this 2.5 hr workshop, Lyse will introduce you to the world of terrazzo!Â
She will explain the basics of the technique before you embark on creating a pair of candleholders.Â
You will start by preparing the plaster. Lyse has a wide selection of colours in recycled plaster and inlays! After pouring the plaster into the mould, you will have to wait a little until it solidifies.Â
Sanding and the final finishing touches enable you to polish your beautiful creations.Â
You will leave the workshop with your own 2 candle holders to add a super decorative touch to your interior!Â

Lyse's workshop is located at the CHP Atelier and is accessible by public transportation.

Practical information
Pour participer à cet atelier, prévoyez de porter une tenue confortable adaptée à l’atelier et au nettoyage en fin d’atelier, type legging ou pantalon. Il est également préférable d’avoir les ongles courts et les cheveux attachés. Enfin, si vous le pouvez, pensez à apporter votre propre tablier.
Veuillez noter que lors de la cuisson des pièces, il existe un risque de casse. Ce sont les aléas du métier et l'artisan n'en est pas responsable.
Meet Lyse
Designer
During her training at the AcadĂ©mie Royale des Beaux-Arts, Lyse discovered ceramics.Â
This interest soon grew into a self-taught passion. She creates small collections and teaches in her old school to share her know-how. Lyse is also venturing into the world of terrazzo, reusing the plaster used to make denture moulds.Â
Terrazzo is a technique that integrates colourful fragments into the base material.Â
In the workshop, ceramics and terrazzo must be kept separate to reduce the risk of an explosion in the kiln.Â
Her terrazzo creations, made from recycled plaster, are a great example of transforming something old into something new!Â
To share her creative spirit, she offers workshops and gives everyone the chance to work with their hands and let their creativity run wild!

L'atelier était un moment précieux de partage et de douceur. Lyse est très pédagogue et rend son atelier accessible à tout le monde. On a même pu repartir avec les adresses des boutiques où acheter le matériel pour refaire des objets avec la technique du terrazzo chez nous! Je suis ravie des beaux petits bougeoirs réalisés lors de l'atelier.

J'ai passé un super moment en compagnie de Lyse et d'une autre participante. L'atelier était super, moi qui suis peu manuelle, j'étais heureuse du résultat et j'ai déjà acheté tout le matériel pour préparer des cadeaux de noël maison! Super atelier, je recommande ! Lyse est très sympathique et patiente, elle donne des explications claires et prend le temps avec chaque personne. Je suis très contente d’être repartie avec 2 jolis bougeoirs :)
