Jewellery Designer
"It doesn't seem like 24 years, when your passion is your career" - That is Saskia's motto !
She established her business in 1999. Since then, it has grown and shifted in many ways. At her workbench, she is like an alchemist, fusing materials with emotions.
Her university studies in Jewellery Design (1993–1998) allowed her to travel the world : Belgium, UK, New Zealand, South Africa, etc.. Together, these countries allowed her to experience a host of cultures, ways of learning, and different jewellery techniques. She settled in London at the end of her studies, designed and made her own jewellery collections. Her creations were sold in shops, galleries and exhibitions.
Gemstones are a constant in her work. At the gemstone dealers, she feels like a child in a sweetshop. Sustainability is fundamental to her work. She is working with ethical, Fairmined materials in all her creations.
She is now working in her studio in Brussels since 2009. It is a city that inspires her designs through the energy of contemporary Belgian design. She chose to have her workshop in the Dansaert district, the creative hub of Brussels.
She loves creating something personal, together with her customers, giving their ideas a three-dimensional form, realizing their dream jewellery piece.

Saskia is friendly, talented, and a great designer. She taught me how to melt and alloy silver and copper, how to make wire using a rolling mill, and how to make a prong setting. I really enjoyed my workshop with her! I'm considering taking a full course in silversmithing now.
