Located at Rachel Cox's modern studio, this workshop is an engaging introduction to the art of pottery. Over the course of 2 hours, participants will be introduced to the essential techniques of throwing on the potter's wheel, including the processes of wedging, centring and shaping clay.
Under the careful instruction and demonstration by Rachel, attendees will crafting a bowl, cup and pourer. The workshop's emphasis on an immersive learning environment ensures that participants gain a genuine understanding of pottery in a creative and supportive setting.
After shaping their creations, participants will select from an array of the studio's glazes to add a personal touch to their creations. These pieces will undergo two firings in an electric kiln at a temperature of 1260 degrees, ensuring the durability and finish of the works. Completed items will be available for collection from the studio after three weeks or can be delivered to participants' doors for a Ā£6.00.
The studio boasts the latest in ceramic tools and equipment, ensuring a high-quality experience. Small group sizes, limited to two students, allow for an intimate learning atmosphere with direct oversight and engagement with the instructor. Each participant will have access to various clays, tools and glazes and aprons are provided to ensure a comfortable session.
This workshop not only offers the chance to learn a new skill but also to create a personal set of creations that are both functional and artistically satisfying.

Would definitely recommend. Had a really fun afternoon with my daughter. Very good value for money, especially as the class size is only 2 students so we got all the attention and help which we needed.
