The workshop kicks off with an introduction to the fascinating lost wax technique. Tayo, our expert jeweler, will showcase inspiring examples of what can be achieved through this intricate process. She'll guide you through the various techniques and tools involved, from files to scalpel, ensuring you have a solid foundation to bring your unique design to life.
With Tayo's expert guidance, participants will have the opportunity to conceptualize their desired ring. Through thoughtful discussions and sketching, you'll work on a template to shape your vision. The creative energy will flow as you begin the process of sculpting your masterpiece, carving, refining, and meticulously cleaning the wax.
Once your wax ring is complete, Tayo will take the reins, transforming it into a stunning silver jewelry piece. You'll eagerly await the unveiling, and two weeks later, you'll be reunited with your bespoke creation, you can either collect or Tayo can post it to you for a small fee on the day.
But it's not just about the techniques and materials. This workshop offers a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere, making it perfect for beginners.

Introducing Tayo, a passionate jeweller hailing from Nigeria with over 15 years of experience in the craft. Her journey to becoming a jeweller began with a serendipitous encounter during a trip to Venice, where she discovered the mesmerising Murano Beads. Captivated by their beauty and vibrant colours, Tayo's love for jewellery blossomed, eventually leading her to make the life-changing decision to switch careers. This transition not only allowed her to pursue her passion but also provided an opportunity to spend more precious time with her children.
Armed with a Higher National Diploma in jewellery and 3D design, Tayo's creativity knows no bounds. Nature and her surroundings serve as a constant source of inspiration, infusing her designs with a touch of organic beauty. Each piece she creates is a testament to her artistic vision and meticulous craftsmanship.
But Tayo's journey doesn't end with her own creations. She finds great joy in sharing her knowledge and expertise through running courses.
