Join Phoebe and her team for an exciting glassblowing experience, perfect for complete beginners.Â
The workshop starts with a warm welcome and an introduction to the basics of glassblowing, you'll learn about the tools and materials used in glassblowing, as well as important safety precautions to ensure a fun and safe experience for everyone.
Once you've got the basics down, the team will show you how to take the glass out of the kiln. This is a crucial step where you'll see how the molten glass is carefully collected and prepared for molding. Next, it's time to design your bauble. You'll have a variety of colors to choose from so you can personalize your creation. Whether you prefer bright colors or subtle shades, the choice is yours!
Once you've chosen your colors, apply them to the hot glass. This is where your creativity comes into play as you can experiment with different patterns and combinations to achieve the look you want. Once your design is complete, it's time for the most exciting part: blowing the glass. With Phoebe's guidance, you'll blow into the tube to shape your bauble. While we can't guarantee it will be perfectly round, each bauble will be a unique reflection of your effort and creativity.
Throughout the workshop the team will be on hand to make sure you're comfortable with each step and by the end of the session you'll have created a beautiful glass bauble to take home.
The glass has to be cooled overnight, so it will need to be collected from 48hrs after, or can be sent. Postage is ÂŁ7.50 per small box, ÂŁ10 for a large one, if you can't collect, paid on the day.
Don't miss your chance to discover the fascinating world of glassblowing and create a unique piece of art with Phoebe!

Meet Phoebe
Glassblower
Meet Phoebe, a London based glassblower with over 10 years experience. Phoebe honed her craft working in both the UK and US before setting up her own studio in South East London.
What sets Phoebe apart is her commitment to sustainability. She has recently invested in innovative technology in her London hot glass studio, including electric furnaces to replace the traditional gas-fired ones. These furnaces not only melt glass efficiently, but also facilitate recycling by tinting it for new products.
Phoebe is passionate about sharing her craft with others and in her workshops, she invites participants to peek behind the curtain and experience a real working glass studio. It's a chance for people not only to learn the technical skills of glassblowing, but also to immerse themselves in a traditional craft that spans generations with a modern twist.
Whether you're an experienced artist or a curious beginner, Phoebe's workshops offer a unique opportunity to learn, create and socialise in a vibrant studio environment.
