Immerse yourself in the art of jewellery making with Daphne in this private Lost Wax Technique workshop. This workshop is tailored for people that are looking to get into jewellery making. The workshop is solely focused on learning the lost wax technique and does not involve an actual silver ring. You will however get all the information you need to cast the ring in silver yourself!

The session will guide you through the fascinating process of carving and shaping wax to create a master model for casting. Under Daphne's expert guidance, you'll create your own wax carved ring, learning essential techniques such as filing, moulding and working with professional tools. You'll leave with a detailed PDF guide indicating everything from sourcing materials to working with a local foundry: you'll gain the skills to create more pieces on your own after the workshop.

The workshop includes all materials, tools and plenty of tea and snacks to keep the creative juices flowing. Join Daphne in her cosy studio for an inspiring session and discover the magic of transforming wax into wearable art!

Meet Daphne

Daphne's journey into wax carving and jewellery design began in New York City in early 2000. While working as an interior designer after graduating from art school, she was looking for a creative outlet and stumbled upon Fred de Vos, a Dutch master of wax carving. Fred's studio, a cosy haven in downtown Manhattan, introduced Daphne to the captivating art of the Lost Wax Method. She was fascinated by the process of transforming a piece of wax into a unique piece of jewellery.

For Daphne, Fred's studio wasn't just a place to learn - it was her weekly sanctuary. There she found inspiration, honed her craft and dreamed of one day running her own workshops. That dream has now come true ! Today, Daphne invites you to experience the magic of wax carving in her studio in Amsterdam West or on location. Through her workshops, she shares her love for this ancient technique and guides participants to create stunning jewellery.
