Immerse yourself in a world of creation, discovery, and sharing at Aurore's studio!
With your hands in the clay, you are about to embark on a unique and intense experience: creating two ceramic bowls.
From the moment you arrive, you will be transported into the world of ceramics, with its tools, techniques, and secrets. Absorb the wise advice of the ceramic artist, who will guide you step by step in creating your two unique pieces.
It's time to roll up your sleeves! You will begin by preparing the clay, ensuring it is perfectly smooth and free from air bubbles.
Then comes the magic of the potter's wheel! Seated at the pottery wheel, you will take hold of the clay, attempting to master this ancient technique. Step by step, you will start to grasp the nuances of the craft. Your two bowls will take shape under your fingers, and you won't be able to help feeling an immense sense of pride.
During the workshop, a beverage will be provided for you to enjoy a friendly and relaxing moment.
After cleaning and tidying up the materials, you will entrust your pieces to the artisan, who will take care of the drying, white glazing, and double firings. You will arrange the details for retrieving your pieces directly with her.
By the end of the workshop, you will be eager to collect your two unique bowls, with the satisfaction of having discovered the fascinating world of ceramics.

Practical information
To participate in this workshop, please plan to wear comfortable clothing suitable for the practice and cleaning at the end of the session. It is also advisable to have short nails and tied-up hair. If possible, consider bringing your own apron.
Please note that there is a risk of breakage during the firing process. These are inherent uncertainties of the craft, and the artisan cannot be held responsible.
During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to share a friendly and relaxing moment while enjoying a refreshing beverage.
Meet Aurore de l’atelier Au Chat d’Argile
Ceramic Artist
Aurore is a joyful and determined artisan, committed to living her passion!
After studying hotel management, administration and tourism, she had a successful international career in the luxury hotel industry. Driven by curiosity and passion, she also studied interior design, which led her to discover clay, ceramics and pottery, a fascinating and wide-ranging craft.
In 2020, she took the leap, leaving everything behind to fully dedicate herself to her passion. She established her own startup and welcomed her first students in June 2021.
Driven by her ecological values, Aurore prioritises sustainability in her craft. She uses predominantly rainwater in her studio, recycles clay, and supports local suppliers for her materials.
Her style is minimalist and zen, drawing inspiration from the rich tradition of pottery in Japan, where it is considered a timeless art form. Her cosy little studio serves as a haven of tranquility, where Aurore warmly welcomes participants and shares the therapeutic benefits of working with clay.
What makes her even more endearing is her love for animals! Her dog, Fluffy, is always by her side, ready to greet participants with gentle cuddles!

Nous avons passé un excellent moment et avons adoré l’atelier : tournz vos pièces uniques en céramique , tout était parfait ! Ambiance très sympathique, conviviale , explications claires et dans la bonne humeur, et petite cerise sur le gâteau, Fluffy l’adorable toutou qui rajoute à la bonne humeur générale. Tres chouette atelier. Aurore est vraiment au top et c'est explications aussi. On a vraiment beaucoup apprécié c'est 3 heure. Et le résultat est super. Je vous recommande cet atelier.

Très jolie matinée de découverte d'un art à la fois exigeant , technique et très relaxant. Aurore est précise et claire dans ses explications et nous accompagne avec soin dans nos créations.
