Knowledge of upcycled sewing

Your personalised cap or bob

The workshop in detail

  • 2h30
  • 15 years min.
  • 2 to 4 participants
  • Up to 4 people for a privatization
  • Immerse yourself in Aline's world and transform your headwear with style!

This passionate designer will be happy to welcome you when you arrive at the workshop, before giving you a theoretical introduction to the basics of sewing. You'll also be shown the materials you'll need for this session.

Then it's up to you! Starting with your cap, bob or hat (if you don't have one at home, Aline will provide one), you will explore the creative possibilities of upcycled sewing.

In particular, Aline will explain the Japanese sashiko technique, which uses scraps of fabric to create hand-sewn patches.

You'll be able to choose the colours and textures that inspire you.

Aline will then take you step by step through the creative process: from cutting to embroidering to personalising your hat.

In the end, you'll leave with your own unique piece that you'll want to wear as a souvenir of this wonderful creative moment!

    Workshop location

Aline's studio is a stone's throw from the Grand Place.

    Meet Aline

    Stylist

Aline studied textile design at the Beaux-Arts in Brussels. She discovered upcycling as part of a study project and quickly became fascinated by this reinterpretation of a wardrobe.

In 2020, Aline launched her own project, Cousons Cousine. Her aim? To add value to unmarketable stocks of second-hand clothes or any other garments looking for a second life.

Passionate and committed, Aline regularly holds workshops to pass on the keys to her know-how, while trying to raise awareness of the impact of the textile sector.
