This passionate artisan will be delighted to welcome you for a creative sewing session. Your adventure will begin with a tour of the local second-hand shops, where Aline will share her top tips for choosing your perfect piece. You will also have the chance to bring your own garment to transform.Â
Back in the workshop, the designer will introduce you to the basics of upcycling. You will then work together to define your project, discussing the desired design and style, as well as any necessary alterations.Â
Under Aline's guidance, you will then be able to use various techniques to personalise your piece: embroidery, sewing, etc. If this is your first time using a sewing machine, don't worry! The artisan will be at your side every step of the way, offering advice and help whenever you need it.Â
In the end, you will go home with your beautiful outfit, which you will be happy to have given a new lease of life while doing something green!Â
NB: The cost of the second-hand item is not included in the price of the workshop.
Workshop location
Aline's studio is a stone's throw from the Grand Place.
This place is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.
Aline studied textile design at the Beaux-Arts in Brussels. She discovered upcycling as part of a study project and quickly became fascinated by this reinterpretation of a wardrobe.
In 2020, Aline launched her own project, Cousons Cousine. Her aim? To add value to unmarketable stocks of second-hand clothes or any other garments looking for a second life.
Passionate and committed, Aline regularly holds workshops to pass on the keys to her know-how, while trying to raise awareness of the impact of the textile sector.
