Welcome to the rhythmic and chanting universe of Ludovic!
The instrumental artisan ceramist will open the doors of his workshop and introduce you to the basics of this original craft.
After preparing the clay and using the appropriate techniques, you will shape the base of your udu in a mould. Then you will work on the top of your udu.
Finally, you will take care of the finishing touches such as the engobe and the decoration.
At the end of this workshop you will leave with new skills. You will be able to pick up your unique udu a few weeks later after the firing! Ludovic will give you a few tips on how to use your udu, which will leave a lasting impression at your future parties!

Meet Ludovic
Instrumental Ceramist
Ludovic is a saxophonist. He has always performed in concerts all over the world and shares his passion for music with young and old.
His mother is a ceramist, and since 2020 he has spent a lot of time in the family workshop and has developed a passion for ceramics! He then started to model instruments and has not stopped since!
Very technical, instrumental ceramics cannot be improvised! Ludovic understands, step by step, the resonance of the clay and how to produce the most beautiful sounds. He also meets other ceramists who specialise in this field.
This artisan ceramist creates, among other things, ocarinas, flutes, udus, xylophones and musical sculptures.
Ludovic is eager to share his passion for instrumental ceramics and to see the emotion it can bring to participants.
