The workshop in detail
Discover tufting, a technique that allows you to create rugs, decorations or soft cushions!
These few hours of discovery will allow you to familiarize yourself with this ultra-satisfying technique and to create your own 100% customized piece by hand, to dress the floor or wall of your home!
First, you will start with the different tools used in the tufting technique. Noor will also guide you in the choice of wool, and then you will start to create your design. You are free in the choice of your design, you can imagine a piece of any shape you want as long as its surface fits within a 40 × 50 cm rectangle.
Afterwards, using the tufting gun, your rug will start to take shape.
Finally, you will finish your freshly tufted rug!
Noor will take care of the final details of your rug, and you will be able to take it home after a few days.

Meet Noor
Textile Designer
Living in Amsterdam, Noor quit her job in 2020 to become a full-time artist and designer.
She learned about the art of tufting while scrolling on YouTube. This mesmerizing craft became an obsession until she decided to try it out herself.
Tufting, the one and only gorgeous fluffy art of rug making, became her speciality only after a few months of learning, experimenting and creating.
It reawakened her love for textiles. She ordered all the supplies, made about a thousand rugs, built a website and sold her first rug. Shaggies Amsterdam, was born!
But she couldn’t possibly keep this craft to myself (and about 1 million TikTok users obsessing over rugs). In December 2021, she opened the first Tufting Space in Amsterdam. Ten months later, with other artisans, they've welcomed over 250 new tufters and are invited to host workshops all over the country.
The tufting community has kept growing since and Noor never tires of sharing her passion!
