    Meet Christine

    Ice Cream Maker

Christine is a passionate and committed ice cream maker based in Saint-Gilles! In July 2013, after a career of more than 14 years in the private sector, her desire to pursue a new direction in life took over.Ā

It took almost a year to come up with the idea, take classes, set up a work space in the basement of her home, establish a food truck, find a name and understand all the legal requirements and administrative constraints, etc. It was finally in April 2014 that she sold her first ice cream from a cute Italian scooter.Ā

In 2018, she opened her lovely boutique, Nanouk, located just steps from the Parvis de Saint-Gilles. Flavours occupy the top spot in her creations. Her recipes, based on quality ingredients and less sugar, reinvent the ice cream bar every day!Ā

For healthy and tasty ice cream, the ingredients used are mostly organic, seasonal and local, whenever possible. The taste combinations are endless, and that's exactly what she loves! All it takes is a simple conversation with a client or a cocktail menu to pique her curiosity and cause her to start experimenting.Ā

A little anecdote: Why 'Nanouk'? It's a wonderful story... We'll let Christine tell you all about it during your visit!
