Learn to weave and make a wall hanging with Siobhan

Join Shiv in her vibrant studio for a fun and informative weaving workshop where you'll create your own unique wall hanging. 

The session begins with an introduction to Shiv and a tour of her colourful, tool-filled studio.

Then you will learn the basics of using a frame loom and the importance of sustainability in weaving. Shiv will explain each step of the process to ensure you have a clear understanding before you start.

Next, you'll dive into the creative part: choosing six colours for your tapestry. Shiv will teach you how to create a harmonious colour palette, an essential skill for any weaver. You'll then learn different techniques for making patterns and adding unique textures and designs to your piece.

Throughout the workshop you'll have a workbook to follow along with for extra guidance and tips. Shiv will be on hand to offer practical support and answer any questions you may have, ensuring that you feel confident in your weaving journey.

As you near completion, Shiv will demonstrate how to take your finished piece off the loom, a crucial final step in the process. You'll leave the workshop with a beautiful handmade wall hanging and a new set of weaving skills!Note :  Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided throughout the session.
