Join Helen Rawlinson for a creative workshop to explore the exciting world of screen printing on fabric!
The workshop begins with a warm welcome and a visual tour of Helen's stunning work on display, giving you an insight into her vibrant designs and techniques. Helen will then take you through a detailed demonstration of screen printing on fabric, explaining the basics of the process and the tools you'll be using.
Then it's time to get creative! You'll start with a test print, cutting out stencils and trying out different ideas. Once you're comfortable, you'll design and create your own stencil for a final print, either on a tote bag, tea towel or other light cotton or linen item you've brought with you. If time allows, you can experiment with layering two colours to add depth and dimension to your design.
Finally, dry and fix your print and you're ready to take your unique creation home!
