In this workshop Brooke will guide you through the art of freestyle weaving. The workshop begins with an introduction to Brooke and the ethos of Make Town, a vibrant and collaborative space spread over three floors.
You'll start by learning about the loom that will be set up for you. Brooke will show you how to use it so you feel comfortable and ready to weave. Next, you'll choose your colours and fibres from a wide range so you can personalise your creation and make it truly unique. Then comes the exciting part - weaving! Brooke will be on hand to help, but you'll have the freedom to weave at your own pace, enjoying the process and letting your creativity flow.
By the end of the session you'll have your very own woven wall hanging to take home!

Designer and Weaver
Meet Brooke, an accomplished artist with over 20 years experience working with textiles and teaching craft.
Brooke's expertise lies in sewing, using natural fibres wherever possible. Her qualifications in fashion design and garment construction enable her to offer a wide range of textile workshops.
At Brooke's studio, Make Town, the environment is relaxed and encouraging, fostering a real sense of community. People of all levels are invited to explore their creativity, connect with others and learn valuable skills. Brooke's teaching style is approachable and supportive, making everyone feel at ease as they dive into their creative projects.

This was such a calm and creative experience. I loved it! I loved learning to use the loom with Brooke’s wonderful teaching and the studio was such a beautiful and creative space to be in. I could have spend the whole day there. I will definitely be back! Thank you Brooke for an amazing workshop.
